How This Library Works

Most WOD aggregators repost random combinations with no context. PaceWOD's workout library is the opposite: every session here was completed, scored, and written up with the pacing errors I actually made — not theoretical strategy.

Each workout page includes the full prescription, interval structure, scaling options, my documented result, and a "common mistakes" section. That last part matters. Row, Pull & Core Survival taught me that a 5-second faster 300 m row costs three pull-up reps in round 4. Front Squat Engine Test showed that touch-and-go front squats past round 2 destroy breathing rhythm even when the load feels manageable.

How to use these workouts

Retest the same WOD every 8–12 weeks under similar conditions (same time of day, similar sleep, same equipment). Track one primary metric: total reps, round completion time, or calories. Random daily WODs build general fitness; repeated benchmarks reveal whether your engine is actually improving.

What Gets Added Here

New entries land when a workout passes three filters: (1) it tests a specific limiter — grip, barbell cycling, engine repeatability, or gymnastics under fatigue; (2) the time domain is repeatable in a 20–30 minute session; (3) I have a real score and at least one pacing lesson worth documenting. Workouts that are fun but teach nothing don't make the cut.
